Out with the old and in with the “ever fresh“-- or better said Eva Fresh. Residing in one of CT’s metropolitan district, this talented young dancer is striving to stay loyal to his name and make moves to bigger and better things. Staying fresh is something that is unheard of in nature, even the food we eat suffers to that battle. However, Troy White’s motivation on not getting stale and giving the people something original to chew on will not be a war he will lose.

Chucky: What is Eva Fresh real name?

Eva Fresh: Troy White

Chucky: Where are you originally from?

Eva Fresh: Originally from Chisolm, but grew up in Portmore.

Chucky: What motivated you to start dancing?

Eva Fresh: Normally inna di area the people weh mi par wid, we liked going to dancing events… then I just started practicing to what I’ve become…

Chucky: When did you first start dancing?

Eva Fresh: Back in Jamaica, with the One Order Group in Hamilton Garden.

Chucky: How did you get the name?

Eva Fresh: When I was younger, I was at an event, and I was the only person that was really good and looked good doing it… and while I was performing the sound system that was playing stopped and officially gave me the name.

Chucky: How would you describe yourself in three words?

Eva Fresh: Talented, Hard Working, and a person that never stops trying.

Chucky: How would you define your dancing techniques?

Eva Fresh: My style is based off Hip-Hop, Reggae & Break Dancing… I try to create a technique that is difficult and not like any other dances. People see me as a leader/trendsetter and not as a follower.

Chucky: Do you create your own dances?

Eva Fresh:I created the Time Bomb, The Landslide & Happy Feet.

Chucky: Do you plan on bussing any at the Russian Kid B-Day Party?

Eva Fresh: Yeah, the Time Bomb… Just aguh keep thing suspenseful… that’s how I do it at every party… new dance, new moves… something new every time.

Chucky: How do you feel about the lack of exposure that dancers receive?

Eva Fresh: Well, everybody can say dem a dancer but anuh everybody can dance.

Chucky: If you were not dancing, what would you be doing?

Eva Fresh:: Promotion, basically a business man

Chucky: What is your worst fear?

Eva Fresh: Worst fear? It’s not really a fear, but…messing up at a large event

Chucky: Other than dancing do you possess any other talent (s)?

Eva Fresh: Yes… I am good at Football (Soccer), Golf, and Track & Field.

Chucky: What is your most memorable performance?

Eva Fresh: Most memorable performance was when I performed alongside Timeless Dancers at Club Azur… that was January 26th.

Chucky: What would you say you have to offer to the dancing phenomena?

Eva Fresh: Well, fi all the dancers, never stop trying… one day yuh haffi mek it… Global… to the universe.

Chucky: What is your most favorite tune to dance to?

Eva Fresh: Mi have a whole heap… nothing really specific… yuh see, if yuh caan dance to any tune, yuh caan dance period.

Chucky: It seems as if most of the dancers are affiliated with a squad, what squad do you affiliate with?

Eva Fresh: None

Chucky: Why do you choose to be the one man army?

Eva Fresh: Just because other dancers can’t do what I do… cause my techniques are difficult…I like being on my own at this moment… I might consider teaming up… maybe…

Chucky: What other upcoming event will you be at?

Chucky: What do you do to prepare for a show?

Eva Fresh: Usually mi just easy, kick back, and practice… but also relax on the performance day to save energy… especially if mi have two events in one day… mi rest mi body… yuh can’t go dance and waan go sleep… and when gyal jump pon yuh, yuh drop…
