Just like the legendary Arabic character for which he was named, King Ali Baba is Blessed with a lyrical talent that stands out in the Reggae / Dancehall fraternity. With a flow that fits any genre of music, King Ali Baba is the most talented artist to take the stage.
Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, but raised in Spanish Town, King Ali Baba was exposed to extreme poverty and lawlessness in small pockets of his community. Seeing this circumstance caused the King to rely on his faith in Rastafari, and use the poverty as a means of building his lyrical repertoire in music and change his destiny in Life.
As integral as the heart beat is to Life, Music is integral to the King as it was the only tool available to express the energy and thoughts he held inside. Always singing and dancing at school, Baba would continue his entertainment by visiting the local rum bar, and select chunes from artists such as the infamous Michigan and Smiley who he credits as giving him inspiration to pursue his career.
Not long after, Baba began writing his own songs, which came naturally to him. "I have so many lyrics books in boxes back home from years and years ago - you could tell my life story from them. So many experiences, good times and bad, experiences and teachings I wanted to share with the world," says the King.
As the new millennium progresses, King Ali Baba continues to record and perform chunes that have every audience skanking and rocking. Chunes such as "Reminisce", "Smoke Weed", "Tippy Toe" and follow up track "Tippy Wine", "Life So Nice" and "Teenage Lover" are radio hits the world over, and draw audiences to hear the King perform. Baba has also collaborated with a number of artists, including the multi talented Sir Giant from Portugal and Alesha Dixon from London,UK.

At such a young stage in his career Dredon has already began to build up a reputation on the streets. Viewers and listeners both young and old, just love to listen his lyrics and the way he performs on stage, if its one person that can move a crowd its Dredon.
The feedback received from known fans is that Dredon is very easy to talk to and grasp of whats going on; he has an energetic vibe that everyone can agree. The name Dredon however, was not Kuwains original stage name though, for many years he was simply known as Father-T by elders for his cultural content and Teflon by previous recorded promotional tracks. The name change from Teflon to
Dredon came about in 2005 when DJ Wayne began to broadcast on his radio programme, another individual with the stage name Teflon from Ochi-Rios. With no lawful regulations in-place, Kuwain had to cast off his prior name, Teflon. While returning from Skattas studio in Princeville plaza, Kuwain quickly came-up with the stage name Dredon, from 2 international rappers known for their notorious and musical attributes.
Regardless of this change of stage name Kuwain having a strong mind and a positive vibe, was not discouraged from pursuing his love for music. In fact it has strengthened him to rise above his already high expectations in his musical journey. The responses that Dredon receives from the media has encouraged him even more to keep on going forward and never give-up despite all the challenges he has faced.

Dredon now spends most of his time in the studios, recording or writing songs of melodies. Presently, his advisor is Nicholas Jasingh, owner of the label 3RD SIGHT. The label is now in its birth stage, consisting of new artistes such as Trauma, Singing Face, Fresh and a few others.
Dredon views on the music industry at this moment in time are that, artistes arent uniting for a better cause, too much bad mind and pessimism among themselves. The Music industry to Dredon in the earlier years was done with pleasure and the concept of freeing your mind from mental slavery. Now-a-days its merely money that can turn a man or woman in a celebrity for a day or a week, despite the message that they portray to the viewers.
Some artistes dont even have or can maintain the originality to sustain true and loving music. The only positive vibes he sees is that, the lyrical contents has risen to better standard and some artistes are becoming more charitable to their environment.
Dredon also went on to elaborate that, if he should gain strong income along with the help of other artistes, he would build more facilities to strengthen the music industry. Such as more training centers, a greater availability of musical instruments to children and young artistes, who wish to pursue a career in the field of music, making them better equipped for the future of Jamaican music.
Dredon states that these facilities and equipment were not always readily available to him in the earlier stages of his career, making it very difficult to practice his music. Theses are some of the actions he would perform to make the next generations of musicians immensely stronger than before.
Dredon: - Music itself has no boundaries, i.e. no age group, no particular pattern or number of songs. You dont have to wait until youre grown to sing amongst big artistes such as, Bounty, Buju, and Beres Hammond.
Kuwian Francois Reid a.k.a. Dredon wishes to be an influence on the younger upcoming youths, to have faith, understanding and knowledge.
